GeoLock Pro ("we," "our," or "the App") is a Shopify application designed to help merchants restrict access to products, collections, or pages based on geographic location. To provide the functionality of GeoLock Pro, we may collect the following information:
- Merchant Information: Shopify store ID, store name, contact email, and subscription details.
- Shopify Resource Data: Product, collection, and page IDs selected by the merchant for geo-restriction purposes.
- Visitor Geolocation Data: IP address and derived country/state to determine access restrictions.
We do not collect or store sensitive personal information, payment card details, or passwords. All billing is handled securely through Shopify's Billing API.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To enforce geo-restrictions for store visitors.
- To synchronize data with Shopify and update Locks when products or collections change.
- To manage subscriptions, trials, and plan limits for merchants.
- To monitor and improve app performance and reliability.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Third-Party Services: We use reliable geolocation services to determine visitor location. Only necessary data (IP address) is sent for this purpose.

5. Data Storage and Security
- All data is stored securely on our servers using industry-standard encryption and access control practices.
- Visitor geolocation data is used temporarily for restriction purposes and cached only to improve performance.
- We maintain security practices to protect merchant and visitor data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Choices
- Merchants can disable or remove geo-restrictions at any time from the app's admin interface.
- Visitors can clear their cookies or IP cache, which may affect geolocation-based restrictions.
7. Retention of Data
- Merchant data and Lock configurations are retained as long as the app is installed and active.
- Archived Locks and subscription history are retained for administrative purposes in accordance with Shopify's requirements.
8. Third-Party Links
GeoLock Pro does not include or link to third-party websites outside the scope of Shopify or geolocation services.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version will be posted within the app and Shopify app listing.
